YETI is

Youth European Transfer Information

flagge26.gif (6901 Byte)

YETI is an Info-Pool and a Communication-Tool for youth.

By using the Internet as a platform for the project, not only for presentation, but also for interaction, underprivileged youth as well shall have the chance to get involved with modern technologies and therefore improve their future prospects.

YETI is as well a regional communication process as it is an international one.

bullet

YETI's aim

YETI will gather all its partners and participants for a "real world" meeting. This meeting will be prepared via the project in the "virtual world".

(We are all looking forward to the next one ;-)

Yet this is not all, through communication and interaction of single participants and groups regional, international and perhaps even worldwide contacts shall arise and be cultivated, and hopefully lead to meetings and joined projects or events.

YETI's steps

In the yeti-project (inner circle) all partners introduce their facilities and groups.
The aim is to prepare the real-world meeting.

Scouts will work as information brokers.

Screen- and Web designers will prepare the information for the publishing in the internet.

bulletYETI provides a platform for discussions about given issues. Open chats, videoconferencing, collaboration, application-sharing, video mailing and all sorts of modern forms of communication and data transfer will be used. Out of this we plan and hope to get youth from all over the world to take part in yeti-world (outer circle = rest of the world).
bulletyeti-pool (inner and outer circle) shall fulfill the function of a notice board for the youth.
Information of ANY kind can be published and asked for.
Those information will be structured by issues and the ingoing e-mails have to obey the netiquette and will be edited before published.
bulletyeti-planet YETI himself is watching you. Nonsense of all sorts will find its place here. This is an explicit wish of the youth we are working with.
All humans will become YETIs and find a place here to feel comfy ;-)

And these are the pages on which the participants of the project give a description of themselves.

You'll get familiar with the young people who are doing the work for the YETI.
They usually work as its slaves, but they also get something in return:

bulletA lot of fun
bulletGetting known to interesting people
bulletMeeting nice people all over the world
bulletWatch the YETI-World grow and grow ...

All the groups (the YETI's of the first hour) have their own page here to give you a close look at themselves and what they are doing @their locations.
We wish you fun while looking at all of these nice YETI's.
Let us know, if you are interested in more information or directly send an e-mail to the group, you want to know more about.
Before you send an email to YETI, please check out the YETI-rules!
