CommentsHi Andrew, how have you been lately? Hope you made it well to the new century ;-) Okay, so you want to know more about our meeting in Krakow? (Seemed to me like you've been there, but somehow missed some of it :-)))) Okay, we have put a lot of the pictures and drawings that were made to the page. Some explanations from the people who were there and what we worked out in the workshops (still remember?) Take a look here and you'll find a lot of stuff around the meeting. On the other hand you can ask Alan, because everyone got the CD with ALL of the pictures on it. But not the drawings (they have been processed later, scanning etc.) Well, nice to hear from you (would you mid reenlisting to the yeti-newsletter? Somehow it didn't work out the first time). Just go to the homepage and click on the join button, then follow the instructions. Okay, hope to meet you soon again and here is the address for the pictures and drawings: http://www.yeti-net.org/krakow.htm Bye says Rainer
CommentsHi, to everyone that reads this, especially the crew that went to Poland in April 99' ( i am the lad who drank to much everynight.) if u read this Rainer please can u send me any of the picture from the Poland expedition, as it was the mutts nutts and i have no pictures. hopefully i will see u in this years YETI project.
cya later Andrewwybrew@hotmail.com p.s. never eat yellow snow
CommentsHi, this is my ICQ-Number. if you'd like you can contact me: 59803917 See ya ;-)
CommentsHi Alan, fine to see that you made it to the new millennium :-) Okay, about the msn messanger. Seems to be quite nice, but I'm not much interested in getting a passport or hotmail address, because I always have one. Why don't we get the ICQ like Maciek said before. I played around with it and it seemed to me quite fitting for the things we'd like to do (and also a lot of people already have their icq-number). Okay, lets think about that. You can check it out and download the software at this address: Okay, cu later says Rainer
CommentsBit quiet on the YETI ils server. Didn't even find anyone there by chance over new year. It would have been good to celebrate together. Seems we have made friends with Moritz's cousin Mona here in UK, we get emails now and she is looking for English epals. More about this knowing when people are on line - could we investigate this microsoft messenger thing which is at http://messenger.msn.com Best wishes to all Alan
CommentsWell, took the chance to be the first to write something to the page in the new millennium. seems like it worked out ;-) Okay, Folks, did you all arrive well in the 21st century ... Hope so, lets look forward to what will happen (I hope there will be a lot of good things going on) Best wishes from Rainer mailto:mail@kaoz-kreationz.com
CommentsMerry Xmas to all!
CommentsSo good times to you all. Get a break then start to have more good fun with people all round the place. Just for christmas you could try to email 07831355467@sms.genie.co.uk which is my mobile phone (handy to all those German folk). You can only have a one word subject and about 100 characters in the message but then it comes up on the telephone. It would be fun to get the greetings that way throgh Christmas and new year. Best wishes to all. Alan, here in wet old UK
CommentsHello, in this way I want to apologize for the invitation we made for monday for a netmeeting. We couldn't make it anyway, because the group arrived later than planned and we had a long discussion before we started to get to the YETI-project. Sorry for that, but we hope to have a good meeting the next time - maybe in the new millennium ?!?!!! Sorry, says Rainer
CommentsHi Clare, didn't hear much from you the past days - but Nutella reactivated you in an instant. Ask your daddy to buy you an extra big glass for x-mas. Tell him that I have said that you really earned it (for the very good support at all thos netmeetings in the past). Bye says Rainer
CommentsAll I have to say is mmmm, yummy Nutella! Can it be the end of the world every day?!!
CommentsHi Alan, nice to hear (and read) from you. Took a look at the page. Sounds interesting. I hope you'll give us more information (when there is some). Have a pleasent time and enjoy yourself during the holidays (I'm looking forward to mine and wished they'd already begun) ;-) Greetings from Rainer
CommentsThe end of the world!!! This only happens whan you drink so much alcohol you live with your head down the toilet and wish it would come. You can avoid this by being moderate in your vices and ignoring people who are unable to count more than four figures. Have a great time all of you anbd if you really want you can take a look at the beginnings of my new job at http://web.ukonline.co.uk/cayc.eastcambs but keep goping back to it as I only wrote the first page!!! Alan
CommentsHi Maciek, well we bought a big glass of "Nutella" - millennium edition and prepare for the end of time ;-))))) No really, it was just simply "stressi" the last days (and the upcoming days), because there is still so much left to do in the old century. But you are right, there always should be enough time to drop some lines to the YETI. As I said before, I wish you all a lovely x-mas and a happy, healthy new year (thousand?). Okay, stand by for the new MILLENNIUM (I'm looking forward to it very much, and I fell privileged to get there - not many people can say that). Best wishes from Rainer
CommentsHello everybody !!!!! Where are you all? Best greetings. Maciek PS. Are you really preparing for "the end of world... it means year? If you do this so now I understand why you don't have time to enter this site. I know making supplies (food, batteries, tent, etc.) is very exhausted. Don't forget about electric torch!!! :-)))))))))
CommentsHi everybody, especially Rainer!! I hope that all of you are doing well and you preparing yourself to the Millenium New Year Eve. Rainer, we are still weating for the orginal list of participants who were in Krakow in July. It started to be very urgent becaue we have to make a financial report to YfE programme. So if you didn't do it befor, please do it now. Thanks for that. By the way - Leo, you are great, thaks for list, letter and pictures. Greetings for everybody (hi Clare:-)) Alicja
CommentsMaciek, I would love to come to Poland but unfortunately I have to work. I hope you had a nice time sking. I've never been sking before but when I go to Canada I'm going to learn. Best wishes, Clare.
CommentsHello all !!!! Clare if you want I can send you snow. I have too much it (it fell down more than 40 cm in Cracow) There is another posibility, you can come here and you will have what you want. On Saturday I'm going to the polish mountains to ski. I love skiing. So have a nice weekend Bye bye Maciek
CommentsHey, that's not fair. We never get much snow! (only rain, rain, rain!). You have to send me some. Do you think it would melt before it got here?!!
CommentsHi Clare, well somehow I always knew, that GB is one hour behind the rest of the world ;-). max nix, it was very fine to meet you that saturday. I hope you enjoyed the chat with those unknown people :-) They were all very cute and very excited when they did the video-conference. They loved it ... To Maciek: Well, I really would be interested, too, who this Wladislaw is??? maybe he tells us alittle bit more of him (her???). Anyhow, this is not a must. Anyone can stay anonymous if he/she wants to. Except when he/she wnats to have published something direcly to one of the webpages. YETI has to know the real name, but the message can be posted anonymous anyhow. Okay, so long, and for it's coming up very soon - I wish you a wonderful weekend (btw. Maciek, we had some big snow at the beginning of the week - but now it's all gone again, at least here in Frankfurt - in the south of germany [Bavaria] there is still much snow) Best regards and greetings from Rainer mailto:mail@kaoz-kreationz.com
CommentsHello all !!!!! How are you? In Poland now is winter (LOT OF SNOW) How about in other countries? Could I ask "Wladysław" to introduce himself? I'm very interesting who he is. best regards see you bye bye MACIEK
CommentsHmm, I thought I'd already sent this message but maybe I did something wrong. I just wanted to say sorry that I was late on Saturday. My little brain got confused and I thought that england was 1 hour infront but we're actually 1 hour behind, oops!! It was nice to 'see' you all. Take care, Clare
CommentsHello, I just wanted to say "Thank You" to all who joined the video-conference on saturday. It was nice to see you again. To Leo, i grabbed iVisit and will "play" around with it. Sounds interesting. Maybe we can use it, lets see. Would you like to make a conference with it at some of the next days? Best regards Rainer
CommentsHello to All Friends!!!:)))))) I wish to all of you my best! Thanks to all who help eachother to developed their computers' skills including abilities to use ICQ :))))).
CommentsHi, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I was late on Saturday. My little brain go ta bit confused! I thought that england was 1 hour ahead but we're actually 1 hour behind, oops! Clare.
Commentshello, I just wanted to say that I am not quite sure yet if I will be around my computer on saturday to join the netmeeting. I will try. If I can't be there this time, maybe next time.... I hope you are all fine, best wishes mark
CommentsHi Clare, that would be very nice - in both ways ... to have you at the chat, and to see you again ;-) Bye, have a nice WE
CommentsHi, I think I can chat on Saturday but I have to check that Alan does not need the computer.
CommentsHi YETIs !!!! Well, I know, the year is getting to its end, but, let me say it this way ... there will be a new one :-) And you all know what I'm talking about ... Yesssssssss, the millennium starts very soon!!! Isn't that really great?!?!? Okay, back to normality (oops, wasn't that normal enough), I have one wish and one important thing to tell. ----- 1. We have a presentation of the YETI-project on next saturday, 19th of November 1999, I know its pretty soon. But I wanted to ask you if some of you could join for a confernece (with or without video, that doesn't matter). Could you check your schedules and look, if there is a little space left for us ;-) We would all be very happy, to conference with you. We will be online from 1pm until 5pm in the afternoon (CEWT - Central European Winter Time). We will work like we did in Poland, which means, we will make samll interviews and take pictures of the people who come around, process them and get them online to the YETI-Website (the meeting is done by the evangelistic church in Dietzenbach - remeber Dietzenbach??? ;-) Okay, I hope to meet a lot of you ----- 2. As I said before, there comes a new year, and it really will be a GREAT one - one reason for this is ...
YETI 2 will go on !!!!!!!!!!!! Hooorrraaaaaayyyyyyy Yesssss, we have got the confirmation for the money, and this time we will be able to do much more things than last time. You will be surprised, about what all will happen (we will talk about that when we do the leaders meeting in Liechtenstein or England. But Andy will tell you more about that pretty soon). ----- Okay, folks, that was what I had to say by now, did you check out the discussion page at yeti-net. It really is worth it. Maciek from Poland had a fine idea, that we all could get into ICQ (ask your local internet-specialist about it ;-) and this will give us a more extended way to communicate over the web. Go check the page at: http://www.yeti-net.org/comments.htm Okay, as always I wish you the best and stay with hugs and kisses (Hello Clare :-) Rainer
CommentsHi Maciek and all the others. Now I've got my ICQ running, my number is: 55395546 Okay, lets get connected ;-)
Commentshello Reiner and all others !!!! I only can say that I can help everyone to improve their abilities on working with the ICQ software. My ICQ number is 54770099. I'm also going to create the ICQ for Monika , Alicia and all others Yeti participants here in Poland. I hope you won't have problems with getting the ICQ software. I will be waiting for any information from you on discussion list and on my ICQ. Best regards Maciek 54770099
CommentsHi Maciek, I would say, let's give it a try. But I have to get used to it, I never used a messenger before (for the reasons I proclaimed). Anyhow, lets give it a try i go get me one. But ... thet would mean, all the other YETIs (or those intersted in), have to deal around with that stuff, too. Lets see, if it works out. have a nice Weekend. So long Rainer
CommentsHello Reiner, Clare and everyone ..... Reiner I still don't know if my proposition is worth to continue. after a few days of using I found only a lot of advantages. Maybe we should try to do it , it means to add the ICQ as form of contact eachother in Yeti project. Best regards Maciek
CommentsHi, did you see (hear), that Mareens voice is back to the YETI-newsletter. Check it out here: http://www.yeti-net.org/yeti-new.htm Best regards from Rainer mailto:mail@kaoz-kreationz.com
CommentsHi Clare. You really understand now??? Phantastic in case I don't understand myself sometimes ;-) <very big grin> Like you use to say - hugs and kisses- and best wishes to all of you from Rainer mailto:mail@kaoz-kreationz.com www.kaoz-kreationz.com see ya
CommentsThanks very much Rainer. Now I understand!
CommentsHi Maciek and Clare ... Well, first of all to Clare ICQ stands for "I seek you". It's a little program that gives away a identity-number. when you are online it checks if some other people (who's number you have put into your list, also called "buddy-list") are online, too. So you can start to chat with them right away. It's quite helpful, but I've also heard of a lot of reports, that many of them hackers are using ICQ to get access to you PC and do some bad things ... Yesssss, alot of them "freaks" are around. Anyhow maciek, something like that would really be helpful, to find out quick if someone of the other participants is online. Let's discuss it, if it is worth to take this advantage, risking to get hacked (you always can get hacked, anyway). So, I would make it up to you, if you want to use such a program to get more in contact. Let me know about your opinion... Best regards from Rainer mailto:mail@kaoz-kreationz.com http://www.kaoz-kreationz.com About the topic, well, I was really interested in that - give us an other one
CommentsHi, For all the stupid people out there (maybe that's only me!), what's ICQ? I think that the millenium is a good excuse for a party but it's not really that important unless you believe in God. A bit like Christmas. But I do like christmas. Did you know it's only 44 days until christmas, yipeee!!! I'm soooo excited. Hugs and kisses, Clare
CommentsHello Reiner :-)) First of all I'd like to say that sometimes when I open this page I see only small square and I can't write anything. It's nice the you chose the topic of discussion but don't you think it's too serious. I also have the suggestion of improvement our internet meetings. What do you think of ICQ? I think it would be very interesting if everyone of Yetis create its own ICQ number. We will be able to make the Yeti list on ICQ server and check if someone of Yetis is at this time in network. Please write what you think about it. I installed the ICQ software in my own computer at home (I have a modem) and I received my ICQ number. Greetings to all espcially to you, Rainer. Maciek PS. Welcome Mark on Yeti discussion page. I hope we will soon have some news from you.
CommentsHi Mark, nice you made the way here. Try again to write something. The field to write in will appear under the e-mail field. it may take some time until the page is loaded. Then follow the instructions, that are written below this field. have fun and welcome to the YETI-discussion. Best wishes and regards from Rainer
CommentsHi to you all, especially Maciek. Yesss, it seems that the discussion has slowed down again a little bit. What about a new topic? What do you think about the upcoming new millennium? How about your wishes and dreams, and also your fears. What are your suggestions for the upcoming new year? I would be really interested very much in hearing from you more about that. As ever best regards from Rainer
CommentsHi everybody :-))) Where are you? I was checking the discussion list a few times but nobody wrote anything (except Mikolaj). Best greetings. Maciek
CommentsHi, I don't have anything special to say, but I'm just writing a few words. Best greetings to all YETIs!!!!
CommentsCzesc Mikolaj :-)) Co u Ciebie slychac? Wlasnie siedze sobie w pracy i mam urwanie glowy. I'm sorry that you don't know what I wrote. It's nothing special just a few words. Hello Clare the first lady in space ... it means in net-space. Mikolaj told me a lot about you. See you. Maciek
Commentsoops!! I sent the message twice. sorry.
CommentsHi, I'm having a gap year before going to university. I'm going to Canada for 3 months and I was wondering if anyone knew any useful web pages etc. Hugs and kisses, Clare.
CommentsHi, I'm having a gap year before going to university. I'm goin to Canada for 3 months and I was wondering if anyone knew any useful web pages etc. Hugs and kisses, Clare.
CommentsHello, Maciek - thak you very much. Welcome back on YETI discission!
CommentsHello everybody :-))) It's nice to see that conversation on this page keeps going. I've only heard some pieces of information from Mikolaj who is my best (I think so) friend. To those who don't know me, I'm one of the persons who are responsible for the Yeti project in Poland. So see you soon. Bye Bye Maciek
CommentsHello Alan, Good luck in your new job!
CommentsHi Alan, well, that really sounds good. let us know by time what happened to you "old man" ;-) best regards from rainer
CommentsHI, got some starnge news - I just changed jobs - starting the new one November 1st. Will let you all know how it is going in time. I am also doing a part time degree Informal and Community education. Not bad for an old man!!
CommentsHi' sorry it's been a while since i've written anything but I've been to visit my sister in Ireland. Tobias - do you have any ideas for something more YETI like? I don't and we need to talk about something. I hope everyone is well and I send hugs and kisses to you all.
Commentswell, iīm very sorry. but at this point iīm not interested in the discussion which ist going on in here. I actually do think that it is the wrong place to discuss such stuff in here. there a newsgroups, you know? So i would prefer something mor yeti-like. Sorry for that. -tobias
CommentsHi Clare, I don't know what's up, I give up! I use me email a minute ago and it works. I've just received two messages from my friends. I can just say: keep on trying! With love, Mikolaj
CommentsMikolaj, I still can't send you an email. It keeps getting sent back. Sorry.
CommentsHi folks, don't get too much upset with what I wrote. I really didn't want to interrupt the discussion about female and male and the differences between them. But as I know, one can get into something fast, that MAYBE will not be what she/he wanted. Like a discussion about the differences between women and men can become somehow ... very controversal (well, let me say it this way, I'm sure, you understand what I want to say with that). But we can keep on dicussing that (though IMO [in my opinion] it really doesn't make sense that much, because women and men are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo different, that no one will be able to describe it ;-))) Like Clare uses to say Hugs and kisses Rainer I also hope, that the other YETI's will someday wake up again and join this discussion, tell them about it ...
CommentsI want to know why only YETIs from England, Poland and Germany write on this page. Have the other countries never heard of computers?!! Hugs and kisses to you all.
CommentsI'm sorry very much. I apologise everyone that I've hurt. Let's change the topic...
CommentsRainer, I'm sorry for saying maybe you were a woman. I'm sure you're not and I don't need you to prove it.
CommentsOkay, let's cool down a little bit Mikolaj. I'm sure I don't have to prove it to Clare, that I'm a man, because she already saw me in the videoconference ... and did you ever see a girl with no hair on his head (also called "Glatze" in german ;-) So, be nice to each other and before you start to hurt someones feelings take a look at this page: http://www.yeti-net.org/yeti.htm I know nobody likes rules that much, but if you play a game you should Best regards and wishes to you all from Rainer
CommentsI didn't have to check it, but I'm sure that Rainer is a MAN. Probably, Clare, Rainer would be able to prove it to you :-)))
CommentsDear Clare, the server I have email was broken yesterday, but it's OK now. I'm waiting for your letter.
CommentsHi Clare, and to all the others who doubt me ;-) Hereby I declare honestly that I am a MAN!!!!!!! Ask my girlfriend, she'll prove it;-) Hey Clare, wouldn't you like to become a Webmistress??? How about that ... doesn't that sound good?!?!? I knuddel you Rainer
CommentsMikolaj, I tried to send you an email but it came back saying that there was no mailbox there by that name. Do you know why it did that?
CommentsMaybe Rainer is a woman but he calls himself a webmaster because he doesn't want people to know he's a woman! Hugs and kisses to you all, Clare
CommentsHello Rainer! I have never heard!
CommentsHi Mikolaj, like you said - the Webmaster is a man, otherwise it would be a webmistress ... Ever heard of a Webmistress??? ;-)
CommentsMoritz! What's your oppinion about the topic? How about the rest?
CommentsHi again! I have done it! I have done this discission more "agressive", dinamic. Anyway, Clare, don't do any harm to Rainer! I raised this subject so as not to prove that generaly women are more stupid that men! But Rainer, who are the better webmasters - men or women?
CommentsRainer, I'm going to have to hit you!! You think all women can do is cook and clean?! All men can do is put up shelves and they're not even good at that!! Hugs and kisses, Clare
CommentsMen are not superior to women??? Well, then something went wrong with what I was always thinking about for my whole life <very astounded> Will check to get mareen back to the newspage (fine, that at least some MEN are reading it ;-) -probably because WOMEN can't read that well (especially technical stuff :-) Rainer :-)
CommentsHi, I want to join the protest to get Mareen's sound back. I never heard it but I would like to. Mikolaj: The Noble prize awards are a competition. The winner is only the 'best' in the eyes of the judges. The opinion of the judges will be affected by social opinion. Men have won more times than women because for many years society has thought of men as superior and so this affects the opinion of the judges. Also, women have only recently become involved in jobs that will enable then to win the Nobel Prize.
CommentsWhen you enter the YETI's-newsletter does not come Mareen's sound any more. I WANT IT BACK. So let's protest and make a petition for a referendum to get it back!!!!!!!!!
CommentsIt has begun! Is it not impossible to jugde whether men or woman are best? So, how about the Nobel Awards? How many men and women got it? Huh?
CommentsI thought I'd add my opinion about the average man V's the average woman... No one is average, so it's impossible to judge whether men or women are best.
CommentsOh oh - Mikolaj - I'm sure that you really started the fire now ... ;-) Let's see (read) what happens :-) Regards from Rainer
CommentsWelle, well, well! I have found a controvertial topic of the discussion, which will make it much more interesting. AN AVERAGE MAN IS ALWAYS HIGHER, STRONGER AND MORE INTELLIGENT THAN AN AVERAGE WOMAN! What do you thing about thid statement?
CommentsHi Mikolaj and all the others. Well, you're right, the discussion has no topic. But that was meant in that way. This page should simply be a page, where EVERYONE could write his opinions and the stuff he/she is thinking about. But, anyway, a topic could be helpful. What do the other participants think about a topic? Wouldn't this be worth a discussion :-) Greetz from Rainer
CommentsNoone has anything interesting to write! That's not good. I thing it's because the discussion hasn't got any TOPIC. Has anybody got an idea?
CommentsHi Mikolaj and everyone else, I knew all you nice people woldn't make me cry! I hope everyone is feeling well (even thought I don't know many of you). Hmmm, I haven't got anything interesting to write so I'll go now. Take care, Clare
CommentsHello again! I haven't written any letter for such long time... But I'm back. Hello Clare, I haven't known you yet, so if you have some free time write to me, please! Many kisses to all of you!
CommentsHi Clare - please don't cry ;-) Here is your answer. YES! Give us the information you have written about - just go ahead ... YETI is always looking for some information like this - that's what it's all about. Best regards from Rainer
CommentsHi, Can some one please write back to me, I'll cry if you don't and I know all you nice people out there wouldn't want to make a small girl cry!! Rainer : Is it ok if I send you some info about schools in England where people can learn english? Me and Alan thought you could put it on this website. I noticed that the bit where stuff like that is supposed to go has nothing on it. Hugs and kisses, Clare
CommentsI just wanted to say hello (I'm Alan's daughter just incase you didn't know). The drawings look good. hugs and kisses, Clare.
CommentsHi folks! Finally I've made it ... What??? Well, the drawings I talked about are here right now. Have a look at them. But beware, some of the drawings are large, so it may take you some time until they are loaded. Don't get upset ;-) It's really worth it, they look so beautiful. Really!!! Look here: http://www.yeti-net.org/drawings.htm Best regards from Rainer
CommentsHi to you all. Hope you are all doing well. Sorry, it seems that YETI is running a little slow by now (well, it probably prepares for the winter-time :-) No matter - I've tried to upload the drawings we made in Bukowina yesterday. But the server was so lazy (too ;-), that it always stopped before it was finished. Anyhow, I will try again today or tomorrow. Then you can look at the wonderful drawings. They will be placed where the photos of the Krakow-meeting are located at. Okay, so long for today, hope to see (hear, read) you soon again and I send my best wishes to you Rainer
CommentsSimply tried to put the email-address right in here:
CommentsHello to you all, and to all of you, who didn't get the news by now: The email-address of the KOM,ma has changed to: komma@exmail.de Please, from now on ONLY WRITE YOUR LETTERS TO THAT NEW ADDRESS!!!!! Best greetings from the KOM,ma as well as from Rainer
CommentsHuh, Alan, don't you get somehow ... crazy about the different times ;-) Hope to meet you today, we'll be there at about 4 pm CEST Best regards from Rainer
CommentsReally good meetings with people at the fair visiting Leo at his stand. From the UK Haden met some FL YETI and Andrew has been to see me today and we looked at the Krakow pictures again. I could see the French YETI yesterday in the meeting list but could not contact them. Perhaps they could try again as we would love to see them. More meeting today at 14.00 GMT, 15.00 BST 16.00 European summer stuff.
CommentsHi you all We had some fine meetings with Alan and with Alan's daughter Clare. We will meet again on Tuesday 7th 15:00 CEST. Alicia wrote that she would like to meet us at 17:00. I hope I will see some other people during the next days and thanx to all for their help. Leo
CommentsHi Leo, sorry, but I can't join on saturday and sunday. But I'll try to be online for the other days and try to get hold of my YETIs. Is this all right with you? Sorry, but on friday i have a loooooooong day. I already started working right now (have to make a week-schedule, that HAS to be FINISHED on sunday because of the Langener Market where it shall be given away, got the complete infos on wednesday, and I'm preparing for a Rock-Classics-Disco tonight, where I am the DJ (yes ;-) and have to prepare it, too and it will last about 11 or 12 pm, so i have a 17 hours work day today (at least). Sorry, i have to crash tommorow, because later on i have a private meeting on 5 pm with some good old friends. But as I said, I'll be online during next week (hop on in or so). Best regards from Rainer
CommentsHi you all, now I'll try it this way, because I've got no replies to my email (except Alan). Our youthclub will have an exhibition stand at a fair in our neighbour village and I thought it would be a good idea to have some netmeetings during this time (4th to 12th of September). So please tell me if anyone of you would like to help me. Greetings Leo
CommentsLeo I know I said I would be about for your chats but I am away thurs 2nd and Fri 3rd. I will be OKI to chat Saturday 4th if you email and say this is OK for you. Miss you all. Alan
CommentsWell, Tobias is right, isn't he? But probably the people are busy somehow. I surely know I am :-) So sorry, for the little speech that came from me. I hope in middle of September I'll have more time to do the rest of my work (especially doing the scans from the drawings we did in Krakau/Bukowina). Best regards Rainer
CommentsWell, i just wanted to write something beacuase the "discussion" seems to stop. Well maybe somebody has some interesting news!
CommentsHello everyone! I'm back from the vacations. Unfortunately I have some work to do - in the begining of September I have one more exam on my studies (of sociology), so I will be busy. But after that I would join YETI again. Greetings to all of you! Mikolaj.
CommentsUsual problems with me--- I am back from Ireland but working with a kayak group on the local river this evening. Friday I will be away in Lincoln (160k away). Perhaps Monday? Leo- are we still OK for the chats in September? email me with more information as it is available to you. Alan
CommentsHi Alan, and all the others. So give your ideas for the time of the next conference, will you? What about next wednesday at 6 pm CET? Unfortunately I will not be there - because it's my birthday and I will get off work at 6 pm, but the other YETI's could join for sure Bye and best wishes says YETI-Rainer
CommentsThe email received through the mailing list: Meeting time for UK, I will be in Ireland up to 25th August but after that I could be on line. It could be with Andrew and Haden if there is time to organise it with them. Post ideas of times but please make it evenings as UK yeti are working in the day. Alan
CommentsHi everybody:-)))) Now I'm back to Poland, we had nice time in Denmark, the eclipse in Denmark wasn't so good because was so cloudy there at that time but well, happend. Now I'm on may holliday but today I came to work because polish yeti's want's to take part in net-meeting with Lichtenstein. Nice to see that disscussion page giong well. Rainer, thanks for e-mail it's nice to be with all of you. Greetings Alicja
CommentsReiner, yes it was the one.... The converted grain store has room for four people and costs 400 GBP a week including all heating and power. There is a shared games room (pool, table tennis) for the kids. Alan
CommentsHi Alan, thanks for the lovely picture. Like I said in Krakow, it looks really cosy. Was that the one you were talking about when I asked you for a vacation in England? That really looks nice ... Best regards from YETI-Rainer
CommentsRainer: the contents page does not work from Netscape! there is no box for the text. The name and email boxes are OK (well not from my Netscape anyway) For you, and for those who were interested in where I was going after Poland/Germany take a look at http://www.johnson.home.dial.pipex.com/littlebeck There are pictures of last and this year. I people are interested in visiting the place I can give a telephone number. Leo, I wrote to Gregory at his home to offer them transport etc. for their visit. Alan
CommentsHi you all, the total eclips was the most impressing thing I ever did see. We went to Ulm by car, where we spent some exciting hours with chasing sunbeams and spots of blue sky - but we were successful at least. We've seen it all - it was so great that we decided do go to Turkey at 29th of March 2006 to see another total eclipse. ---------- In some countries, for example France, there are still holidays and the French guys told me, that they can use the Yeti-Computer only in September. They don't have private computers, that's why they can't take part in this discussion page. -------------- And, Alan, they told me they want to visit you (I hope I did understand them right). --------- CU :o) -------- Leo
CommentsLeo, I am only just back myself. I saw your message below and if Gregory and Yodi are coming could they let me know so we can make sure transport and fun are organised. I presume they are to visit Andrew and Haden as this is new to me. I would love the chance to help them round some of the special English things but perhaps not the beef!!!! Alan
Commentshello ... Hello ... H E L L O ... H E L L O ... Is there somebody out there????? I mean especially the people from: Sweden - Denmark - Czech Republic - France ???? What's going on???? Holidays are over aren't they???? Come on, get busy!!!!!!!! Get it going on .... Keep this discussion alive .... WRITE SOMETHING - WILL YOU ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Okay, how did you like the "SOFI"??? The total eclipse of the sun - or were you all blinded by the light??? Thsi (probably) can be a reason that nobody is writing some to the pages ;-) Or ... are ... you ... all ... too ... busy ???????? Take your time for the YETI ... It's worth it - remeber ??? :-)
CommentsOK so I am here now!!! Thank you all for the great time in Poland.. My travel to Tydal, N Germany went well as did the return travel to England and my week in th Moors. Rainer, I will send some pics of the place we lived at so you can see if you would like to stay there some time. Not good access to London as it is so far north though. Look on http://www.uk.multimap.com and search for Whitby, then you should fing Littlebeck southwest. Perhaps you could just search for Littlebeck!! Nearby is Whitby with plenty of good crab, salmon ets and also a very goof cake shop, look at http://www.bothham.co.uk/ and try to fing the ginger bread under the bischits link. This bread is very good with butter and cheese.. You can order from the web site. So.. YETI people, perhaps we should look at where we can all meet again next year. England? But I think things are more expensive here than in Poland. Best wishes Alan
CommentsHi Alicja, don't worry. See, it all worked put now and you are enlisted. Did you already get some mails ;-)
CommentsHi Rainer, of course you are right, I don't know why I made this stupid mistake. I was mayby just too tired. We don't sleep much here. Now I hope finally will join the list. We'll see. Greetings form Denmark Alicja
CommentsHi Alicja, are you sure about your address "jahoo"? Is it not "yahoo"?. Could you check this please and send a reply? Best regards from Rainer
CommentsOf course I made a mistake in my new address, sorry for that it jahoo not jachoo. "See" you. Alicja
CommentsHi everybody Worm greetings form Denmark. Thanks Leo for the explanation about the jeans, but I still don't konw whose jeans there are????? Well we will see.If anybody lost it in Krakow let me know. I did't expect such a huge disscussion about it. But well it was quite fun to red it. Till next Friday I will be here but on 18th of August I will try to be on net-meeting with polish yeti's. As you see I have another e-mail address, with this old one I couldn't join the list, mayby with this one will be possible. That is all for now. Alicja

CommentsHi you all !!! I'm back from holidays now. I've spent some days with my family in south of France. We went to Limoux to visit Gregory and Yodi - it was really nice there. They told me, that they are planning a trip to England to visit the English Yetis later this month. I would like to tell you what I know about the secret ot "Tobias Jeans": The Liechtenstein Yetis found a blue-jean in their room in the hostle in Krakow and they were sure that they didn't belong to one of them - so they can only belong to one of the two German guys (this is only true if the Liechtenstein Yetis are not too stupid to recognize their own clothes). By the way, thanx Rainer for this discussion page, that's it. The Liechtenstein Yetis have holiday until the 18th of August. We will go online with netmeeting on wednesday, 18th, at 15:00 CEST to look if somebody else is there. More informations will follow by eMail.
CommentsWell, a hot discussion going on ;-) Yes, sometimes I sleep at night, sometimes I do something else ;-) and sometimes I hang around with my PC and the NET :-) That all is right. Choose one possibility ;-) Hi Moritz, would you please look for some actual drivers for your ... PC :-) I'm not willing to change teh look of the YETI-page and I hope all the others confirm with me ;-) And Mikolaj, you seem to be right, no one of the other group-members is using this fine discussion :-( But I thin a lot of them are away at their holidays and it will become more crowdy by time. we will see :-) I wish you all a wonderful weekend
CommentsHey YETIs, especially Rainer: Canīt we change the "Auflösung" to 640x480 and use only 256 better 16 colours??? Iīve just repaired my PC but not installed the graphic-drivers. So the YETI-page does NOT look too beatiful: the background is black with wite points, the buttons blue and hardly to identify and you canīt see any type as long as itīs not marked ! --moritz
CommentsTo Mikolaj, i think rainer sleeps at night, but if you look on your postings youīll find another time as the time you posted them, itīs just beacause the surfer is in Kanada:-) To all the others, why should i forget my jeans in Krakow? Is this a kind of joke?
CommentsWho found "my" jeans? Whoīs idea was it that i lost a pair of jeans? Sorry but i actually did not forget something. -tobias
CommentsHi Together, I did not forget my jeans in Krakow. I brought 3 jeans to Krakow and i went back with 3 jeans. I always have a list to control my stuff, so i canīt forget something. A i donīt think that i forgot something else. Sorry maybe somebody else did it. Sleep well -tobias
CommentsHey again! As I see there are only people from Germany and Poland who use this discussion channel. What's up with the rest of YETIs? Especially with those I have met in Cracow. Mikolaj
CommentsHello! Rainer - I have one question for you. When do you sleep? (or do you sleep?) I read all the letters that have come to the YETI-discussion and I looked at when all the e-mails were sent. Each of your message was written in the middle of the night! You're amaizing! With greetings, Mikolaj
CommentsHi Tobias, maybe you forgot some of your jeans??? what else can it be??? Did you forget some important things over there in Krakow??? Questions, questions, and as always, longing for the answers ... Doing a quest is still the best ;-) Greets from Rainer
CommentsI still didnīt get the thing with the jeans. What are you people talking about? Please tell me I`m just a small boy -tobias
CommentsHi Together, sorry but i think i didnīt get the thing with the "jeans". Would be nice if you would tell me what you are talking about. I searched on this page and on most of the others but i found nothing what seems to have do to something with "jeans" -tobias
CommentsWell, sorry, the counter went back to zero :-( really sorry for that. hey Alicja, when will you bring the jeans to frankfurt ;-)
CommentsHj Tobias don't you forgot something from Poland (read "jeans").? We will bring you to Frankfurt when we'll be there. Greetings. Alicja
CommentsYipihie, im Visitor Nr. 39 !!! -tobias
CommentsWell, thanks in any way Alicja. Bye and enloy your stay in Denmark. Greetings from Rainer
CommentsHello Rainer and the rest! This is Alicja again. Mikolaj is right about what he said about Yeti's web side. I hope that now everything is OK with my joing the list. I didn't respond the confirmation about joining the list but I did it today, so everything seems to be good. On wednesday I'm going to Denmark but when I'll be there I going to chack the e-mail and Yeti's list (they have comuters there). Greetings for everyone, enjoy your holliday Alicja
CommentsWell, actually as the webmaster I have to say thank you very much Mikolaj for this compliment in the name of the YETIs. But as i said in Krakow, you all can bring in your ideas and suggestions to keep this site increasin, getting more and more informative, exciting and probably get it to become a cult. Yes, the "Cult of the YETI" ... doesn't that sound good :-) Greetings and best regards from Rainer
CommentsHello to everyone! Especially to those who I met in Krakow. My congratulations to the author of this fantastic web side - it's really very good! I hope to hear from you and to see you soon! Have o good time! Bye! Mikolaj
CommentsHey, all you people from Denmark, Sweden and Czech Republic who couldn't be with the other YETIs in Krakow (we all felt very sorry for that, really hope to see you at the next meeting). Are you still alive :-)))) If so, use the new features of the YETI-net and write something in here and/or enlist to the mail-list. Already seen it? You can get more information on the hoempage. So, check it out, it's afine thing. Best regards and best wishes from YETI-Rainer
CommentsHello to Alicja and Monika. Sorry, but I didn't get your apply for the email-list yet. Maybe something went wrong. Just try again to reenlist on the Homepage. Alicja I've invited you directly. You have to answer with a "blank" message, which means, nothing has to be in there, except the subject. Okay, why don't give it another try ... Oh, forgot, Alicja said she'll be in Denmark with a group of Kids. But Monika, you should be there, just send me you e-mail address and I'll invite you for the list. Is that Okay? Hope you are all well Best regards from Rainer
CommentsHi Alicja and Maciek. Fine to hear from you. I also like the visit very much. Maciek, would you like to get enlisted too to the YETI-net email-list? If so, just let me know or just suscribe yourself at the listbot at the YETI Homepage. CU
CommentsHello to everybody!!!!!!!!! Greatings from Cracow :-)))) It was such a great pleasure to meet you in Cracow. I hope we will see soon. Bye , Bye. Maciek

CommentsHej Rainer, I did already the substriction to the e-mail list and Monika as well, thank's for the good words about staying in Krakow, I hope that you did't have any problems with the train. I had a very good time with you all and I also hope that we will see you again. Greetings for everyone Alicja
CommentsHi Alicja, nice to "read" you ;-) So you have your "fast own email-address", why don't you subscribe to the email-list? You are alright? Really loved the stay at Krakow and I think back of it with a :-)
CommentsI see that discussion started alrady, that nice to know that . As you see I got my private e-mail address which is more faster that hotmail
CommentsTo Andrew & Haydn. You have to reenlist for the mail-list. I guess something went wrong with your enlistment. Sorry, just put yourself in there again.
CommentsHey, come on, no one out there to write something in here? ;-) Like Alan used to say: "Just do it" :-)
CommentsYes Tobias, you are right (in both ways ;-) You are the first who wrote something and the background has changed, due to a change of the design (I mean the software it was done with, first FP98 and now FP2000). Does it look better? I think the buttons have slightly changed, too.
CommentsHi, i think Iīm the first person who writes something to the diskussion page, i mean without counting the webmaster. It seems to me that something happened to the backround, it looks differnet. -tobias |
